Privacy Policy

We, the Medical Data Science research group at the Department of Computer Science, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, as the operator of this website, take the website visitors' privacy seriously. We treat all personal data and other entered data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable law, in particular and where applicable, the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). For the purpose of this policy, IP address means "Personal Data" and all information that is entered by the website visitor into the form means "Other Data". Other data refers to a person but does not identify a specific person. With this privacy policy we are explaining the way the visitors' personal data and other data is collected and used.

Collection of Data

This website tracks and stores basic logging data about its visitors, including IP addresses, timestamps and referring pages, for operational and maintenance purposes. It is stored on the server of the Department of Computer Science, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. The other data that is entered by the visitor into the form is stored for a short period of time also on the server of the Department of Computer Science, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, to make predictions with pre-trained machine learning risk stratification models. Entered form data are only used to produce sample predictions for demonstration purposes regarding the ongoing not yet completed research on the prototype and are erased immediately after prediction, when the website visitor clicks on the "Predict" button or leaves the website (tabular data), or 30 minutes after the visitor's last interaction with the website, i.e. clicking "Predict" or "Intervene" (image data). None of this information can personally identify specific visitors of this website or any other person.

We respect website visitors' right to be informed. Since we do not store any visitor data long-term (except for a short period of time to make predictions) and submitted data are erased immediately after prediction, i. e. after clicking on the "Predict" button or leaving the website (tabular data), or 30 minutes after the visitor's last interaction with the website, i.e. clicking "Predict" or "Intervene" (image data), visitors' rights to rectification and erasure are respected.
